Dunn Orthodontics is proud to offer many types of braces to fit your specific needs.

Traditional Metal
These are what most people envision when they think of braces.  There have been many technological advancements to decrease the size and thickness of traditional braces. In addition, we can make it fun by adding colors that can be changed at every appointment.  You can cheer for your school team one month and get colors to coordinate with every holiday!

 

Clear Braces
For those who don’t want the look of traditional braces, we offer ceramic (clear) braces.  They are just as effective as a traditional braces, but are much less noticeable.  Many celebrities, including Tom Cruise, have chosen clear braces for their treatment.

Great news!  We now offer the Clarity™ SL bracket system.  This brand new bracket technology provides all of the esthetic benefits of a clear bracket without the concern of discoloration.

 

Self-Ligating Brackets (Damon System, In-Ovation, Smart Clip, Time3, Speed, Vision LP)

Unlike traditional braces, self-ligating braces have a built-in mechanism to hold the wire in place.  Since elastic ties are not used, you cannot choose different colors with these brackets.  In an attempt to promote their product, the company that produces the Damon bracket has made a number of extraordinary claims regarding their product, most of which remain unproven or proven false.  In fact, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics has recently refused to allow the makers of the Damon System to put these unproven and false claims in their advertisements.
